Rich, like many of us, fell in to the drinks industry by accident and has stayed in it for pretty much his entire working life. Having worked in a pub in Canterbury during his gap year to save up and go travelling, he then made his way up north to Leeds where he’s been ever since (although his wife still refers to him as a southern softie!).
He developed a true love for the industry whilst working for one of the most respected bar operators in Leeds, then in 2010 he made his first step in to a commercial sales role joining Cellar Trends. Since then, he’s honed his skills as a travelling salesman working as a national account manager across both RTM and brand owner channels with Matthew Clark and then latterly Hayman’s Gin.
Joining Speciality Brands meant realising his dream job as he now has the honour of putting fantastic spirits on the lips of the nation through his role as national account manager.
Away from work, Rich enjoys a busy home life with two young children whilst putting one of his other passions in life in to practice assuming the role of chef of the household. During his spare time, Rich enjoys stretching his legs with a run or a leisurely round of golf.
