Founded in 2000, the SFWSC is the largest competition in North America. A total of 70 international judges evaluate approximately 5.000 spirits each year.
Diplomático Selección de Familia is primarily distilled in copper pot stills (complex rums) and combined with batch kettle and column distillation (semi-complex and light rums). Made from sugar cane honey and molasses, the rums are aged up to 12 years in American white oak, ex-Bourbon, ex-single malt and ex-Sherry casks. Masterfully blended at 43% ABV, this sophisticated rum has an intense signature flavor ideal for enjoying neat, unleashing aromas of vanilla, toffee, red fruits and oak. On the palate, wood and plum combine with toffee notes for a well-rounded and long-lasting finish.
The Diplomático family, together with the Maestros Roneros, carefully select and taste the finest rums to create this exquisite blend. An expression that reflects a long-lasting tradition of crafting rums, with rigorous quality control through the elaboration process.
