Tasting Notes
Nose
Very floral in character, with distinctive notes of jasmine and magnolia. Behind those sit more delicate hints of apricot and peach.
Palate
The floral notes from the nose continue on the palate, but with more intensity and balancing walnut bitterness, sweet raisins and a background of stone and orchard fruit.
Finish
Soft and light, with an initial nuttiness fading to sweet fruit and lingering floral notes.
Comment
Intense sweet and savoury sherry-cask flavours – sticky raisins, meaty notes, marzipan and spicy nutmeg. Sat alongside are butter icing, fruit jelly, green leaves and a hint of lightly sweetened stewed rhubarb.A rich and velvety texture to the spirit helps this delicate pisco show its complexity. One to savour.
