Tasting Notes

Nose

Apple tart and white-wine-poached pears lead, with candied peel following behind. Barley sugar notes develop, joined by freshly sliced, crunchy pears and sharp, fresh apples. Subtle notes of buttered bread hide at the back.

Palate

Buttery pastry and more crunchy pears lead, slowly morphing into sultanas, apple jam and fruity toffee. Apple pip and skin is balanced by building butterscotch before a burst of orchard fruit brings some zing.

Finish

Spiced bread and apple jam fade slowly to leave clove spiciness and a touch of apple peel.

Comment

A fresh and fruity Cognac with a rich backbone that supports zingy orchard fruit notes.
