Takamaka, the rum from Seychelles, is launching The Spirit of the Seychelles, a new, UK initiative which will see Takamaka partner with key venues and events across the country.

The brand will feature in takeovers, bespoke cocktail menus, in-store tastings, and immersive masterclasses. Rum lovers, both seasoned and new, will be invited to explore the brand story and try its range neat and in cocktails.

A key highlight of the campaign will be the brand's debut appearance at Taste of London (18-22 June 2024), where it will unveil The Takamaka Beach Bar. Throughout the five-day festival, stand visitors will be invited to enjoy a menu of refreshing Takamaka rum cocktails, crafted by rum ambassador Dean MacGregor. These will include Takamaka Dry Daiquiri, Takamaka Punch, Seychelles Spritz and Pina Colada slushies.

Dean will host guided tastings and mini masterclasses on stand to further increase consumers brand knowledge.

The Takamaka Moke, an electric beach vehicle that has been transformed into a mobile bar will allow attendees to take pictures whilst soaking up the island vibes.

Other Takamaka partners include Brighton's The Salt Room. The sea-front restaurant will launch the Takamaka Sunday Sessions throughout the summer. On Sunday 22nd June, 20th July and 24th August, guests can expect a menu of refreshing Takamaka cocktails paired with delicious nibbles created by The Salt Room's Executive Chef. This exclusive menu will be available on the terrace where guests will enjoy a DJ set whilst watching the sun go down. Rum masterclasses will also take place at the venue in September.

Goldies in Kingly Court Soho will serve a menu of cocktails on its terrace, including Takamaka slushies and delicious frites and nibbles throughout the summer.

The Takamaka rum range is available across the country at selected bars, restaurants and retailers including Amazon, Master of Malt and The Whisky Exchange.
