Lot No.40 is a Canadian whisky made from 100% rye at the Hiram Walker distillery in Windsor, Ontario. It was founded in 1998 by then-master blender Michael Booth, based on a recipe developed by his seventh-generation forefather Joshua Booth. When Joshua immigrated to Canada, the plot of land given to him was lot number 40, hence the whisky's name.
