Hampden Estate
This renowned rum distillery is located in the Trelawny Parish in the northwest of Jamaica, an area of incredible biodiversity. One of the oldest rum producers in the Caribbean, Hampden Estate has been in continuous operation since its founding in 1753, though it began bottling under its own name in 2018.
Throughout its centuries-old history, the distillery has maintained the same production methods: the use of its own spring water, prolonged fermentation with wild yeasts, tropical ageing, pot still distillation and no added colours or sugar. These long-established techniques give Hampden Estate rums their signature aromatic complexity and high-ester character.
