In 1876, Clemente Chazalettes founded Cte. Chazalettes & Co. - Premiata Fabbrica di Vermouth e Liquori in the heart of Turin. His unique formulas for vermouths, liqueurs, bitters and spirits soon won the company acclaim and awards throughout the world, yet the biggest accolade was to come from those in his own city: the women of the Turin-based House of Savoy, Queen Margherita and Princess Laetitia Napoleon, were so fond of the Chazalettes vermouth that they allowed the company to bear their royal coat of arms. Today, a new generation of enthusiasts has prevailed upon Giovanni Chazalettes, great-grandson of Clemente, to resume production and bring these timeless recipes back to the world. Now we can once again enjoy the original flavours of Vermouth Rosso della Regina, Vermouth Bianco della Regina, and Vermouth Extra Dry. Chazalettes is now one of the founders and partners of the Istituto del Vermouth di Torino, a prestigious association made up of 16 vermouth producers, whose purpose is to protect the quality of the Indicazione Geografica Vermouth di Torino.
