Lot No. 40 Dark Oak Canadian Rye Whisky
Awarded the World’s Best Rye at the 2021 World Whiskies Awards, Lot No. 40 Dark Oak retains the essence of Lot No.40 but is a bolder expression. It is made from 100% ryegrains, distilled first in a column and then a pot still and aged in new American Oak barrels. The whisky is finished in heavily charred new oak barrels to impart additionalcomplexities of flavour.
Tasting Notes
Nose
Dark rye spice, charred oak and caramelised sweetness.
Palate
Rye bread, caramel, dark spice and pronounced toasted oak.
Finish
Long, charred and spicy.
