Extra Marriage celebrates the 40th anniversary of the legendary expression Nikka Whisky From the Barrel, which was first released in its now cult square bottle in 1985.
Undergoing a marriage twice as long as the original edition, it is a blend of single malts Yoichi and Miyagikyo, paired with grain whiskies made primarily from corn. These were distilled in the Coffey stills imported from Scotland to Nishinomiya in 1963, before being moved to Miyagikyo in 1999.
This anniversary edition is full of energy, finesse and character, and nobly and gracefully illustrates the main characteristics of each of the whiskies in its composition.
