Vermouth Amaro is based on the original recipe of Giulio Cocchi where wormwood is enriched with rhubarb, quassia wood, chiretta and a double infusion of quina. The addition of Cocchi Barolo Chinato to this base adds a real complexity and depth to this unique product, bringing delicate tannins and round notes from the aged Barolo.
Cocchi Dopo Teatro Vermouth Amaro is based on the styles of vermouth traditionally drunk in Turin’s cafes after visitors had been to the theatre, hence “Dopo Teatro”. These digestifs were commonly served chilled in a small glass with just a twist of lemon zest. Today it is also a perfect ingredient to add a touch of bitterness to classic cocktails.

Tasting Notes
Nose
Rich, sweet and fruity with a backbone of woody bitterness. Maraschino cherries and plump raisins sit alongside burnt caramel, green twigs and pungent herbal notes, all covered in a jammy sweetness.
Palate
Sweeter than the nose suggests, with rich fruit - baked apples sprinkled with raisins - fruit cake and intense brown sugar sweetness complimented by darker and earthier notes of tree bark, damp soil and spice - ginger, nutmeg and a hint of clove.
Finish
Lingering, with fruity sweetness slowly giving way to darker and bitter notes.
Comment
A rich and well-balanced vermouth, with just enough Amaro character. Excellent on its own and with powerful flavours to enhance cocktails.
