Tasting Notes
Nose
Aromatic spice – clove, mace and nutmeg, touch of vanilla pods, rose petals, sweet and bitter Seville orange zests, and a gentle oily sweetness.
Palate
Strawberry sorbet, slightly melted, with a big syrupy sweetness balanced by delicate bitter and herbal notes. Rose petals and grapefruit zest comes in behind, with touches of spicy fresh ginger.
Finish
Aromatic strawberry leaves, flashes of ginger and a lingering rose sorbet sweetness.
Comment
Sweet but tempered by the right amount of herbal bitterness. It’s excellent as a chilled aperitif, but its versatility as a cocktail ingredient is obvious from your first sip.
