Port Askaig Cask Strength #02-2024
Port Askaig Cask Strength is a small-batch, cask-strength Islay Single Malt with each batch offering a unique profile due to changing cask recipes. Batch #02-2024 blends PX, Oloroso, and refill sherry wood with a touch of ex-bourbon barrels, creating a rich, decadent whisky with classic Islay smoke. It opens with lemon, roasted stone fruits, coffee, chocolate treacle, and dark smoke. The palate reveals zesty ginger, chocolate, and star anise, finishing with fresh raspberry, lemon, and cacao nibs. Each batch consists of no more than 60 casks, each with a unique code and cask breakdown.
